Preventative Care

Prevention is key to achieving a healthy mouth. Dental procedures can often be avoided if they are diagnosed early. Our top priority is to maintain the health of our patients. In order to so, we suggest recall appointments every 6 months for the majority of our patients. Our preventive appointments include an exam, cleaning, x-rays, and an oral cancer screening.

Implants are an excellent, long-term solution for missing teeth. During this procedure, a titanium post is inserted into the bone that normally surrounds teeth.  Time is allowed to pass to allow the implant fuse to the surrounding bone. Once this is accomplished, a crown is fabricated to attach to the titanium post and replace the missing tooth. Implants can also be used to stabilize partial dentures and dentures.  Call today to schedule your implant consultation!

Sealants are composed of resin or plastic and are used to prevent decay. Occasionally, teeth will contain deep pits that are susceptible to decay. Sealants can be placed to make the pits more shallow and easier to clean. Sealants are most commonly placed on 1st molars that erupt when a child is around 6 years of age. Sealants can also be applied to other teeth if they are determined to be at risk for decay!

Root Canal Therapy

A root canal is needed if a cavity or an infection has reached the nerve center of your tooth (the pulp). In order to prevent the infection from spreading, it is necessary to remove the infection from the inside of the root of the tooth. Once the infection is removed, a material is used to seal the tooth off from the oral cavity. This will prevent future infections from occurring within the offending tooth. We utilize the latest materials and techniques to ensure your comfort during the procedure. Have a tooth-ache? Call us today!
